Export supplyPaving grades and emulsions we supply.
Viscosity grades follow IS 73:2013 and emulsions follow IS 8887. Penetration grades are supplied to the standard named in your order.
Softest VG grade. Spraying, surface dressing and paving in cold regions.
VG30IS 73:2013India's most widely used paving grade for highways and heavy-traffic roads.
VG40IS 73:2013Hardest VG grade, for highly stressed pavements and hot climates.
60/70Penetration gradeFor export orders and projects specified to penetration-grade standards.
80/100Penetration gradeSofter penetration grade for cooler regions and lighter traffic.
RS-1Emulsion, IS 8887Rapid setting cationic emulsion, mainly for tack coats.

Frequently asked questions
What does Rajeev Trading Company supply?
Rajeev Trading Company Private Limited, based in Kolkata, supplies paving bitumen in grades VG10, VG30, VG40, 60/70 and 80/100, and cationic bitumen emulsions RS-1, SS-1 and MS. Supply is available in drums and in bulk by road tanker.
Do you supply bitumen across India?
Yes. We supply to customers in every part of India, in drums or in bulk by road tanker, depending on the quantity and the facilities at the delivery site.
Do you export bitumen?
Yes. We take export enquiries from overseas buyers. Grade, packing, shipping terms and documents are agreed for each order. Send your destination port and required specification with the enquiry.
What is the difference between bitumen in drums and bulk bitumen?
Bulk bitumen is delivered hot in road tankers and is suited to hot-mix plants and sites with heated storage. Drummed bitumen is packed in sealed steel drums. It is easy to store and handle, and suits smaller jobs, remote sites, decanters and export.
What is the difference between VG30 and VG40 bitumen?
Both are viscosity grades under IS 73:2013. VG40 is the harder grade, with an absolute viscosity at 60°C of 3200 to 4800 poise against 2400 to 3600 poise for VG30. VG30 is used for most paving work. VG40 is used where pavements carry heavy, slow or standing loads, such as intersections, toll plazas and truck lay-bys, and in hot climates.
How do VG grades compare with 60/70 and 80/100 penetration grades?
India moved from penetration grading to viscosity grading under IS 73. VG30 is generally treated as the replacement for 60/70 and VG10 for 80/100. Penetration grades are still specified in many export markets and on some projects, so we supply both.
Which bitumen emulsion should I use for a tack coat or a prime coat?
RS-1, a rapid setting emulsion, is the usual choice for tack coats between bituminous layers. SS-1, a slow setting emulsion, is commonly used for prime coats on granular bases, as well as fog seals and slurry. MS is used for premix carpet with open-graded aggregate and for patch repair. Always follow your project specification.
